Take some time away from the hectic part of the holiday and think about what you are truly thankful for. For me, it's the love of and to my family and friends, that I've found ways to work on recovering my health, and that I have freedom-from-food-addiction!

It's Thanksgiving, Pt.2

at the Low-carb Cook's Nook!

Thanksgiving is such a complicated holiday to plan, we're taking three weeks to do it! Last week, we discussed menus and recipes for side dishes: stuffing, vegetables, and the like. (Recipes, as always, are posted at Low-Carb Cook's Nook - AOL Message Boards
http://messageboards.aol.com/aol/en_us/articles.php?boardId=495619&func=3&channel=US+Food)

This week (Nov. 12th), we will cover desserts, cranberry sauces, and appetizers/relish trays.

The 3rd week (Nov.19th), we'll pull it all together with the extras: gravies, rolls, and the turkey itself...If you missed one chat, come to the next... if you still need a recipe from a chat you missed, just ask! I'm not picky, I'll skip from one part of Thanksgiving to another if ya need it!

There will be no chat on Thanksgiving night, but if you needed HELP on Thanksgiving, www.butterball.com is a great and perennial resource for turkey-cookery .

Time to Plan Out Your Thanksgiving
at the Low-carb Cooks' Nook

You have three weeks to figure out what you're going to do for Thanksgiving!
Some low-carbers say, "To heck with low-carbing, this is Thanksgiving," but many have found that they go off the wagon for that one day... which stretches into weeks, and it's not till January that they can get back on track and by then,
they've gained ten lbs. !
Isn't there a way to make your traditional Thanksgiving in a low- carb way?
YES, THERE IS!

At this week's chat, we'll start planning our Low-carb Thanksgiving menus and share recipes for side dishes, stuffing, vegetables, and the like.
The 2nd week (Nov. 12), we will cover desserts.

The 3rd week (Nov. 19), we'll pull it all together with the extras: gravies, cranberry sauces, and the turkey itself.

There will be no chat on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26th.. that's when you get to enjoy the (low-carb) fruits of your labors!

Hope to see you at the first of this Thanksgiving Series!
